- The Night of the Unfaithful Zombies
"The Night of the Unfaithful Zombies" sounds like the kind of twisted horror where the undead aren't just hungry for brains—they're also cheating on their zombie spouses. Picture shambling corpses sneaking around graveyards for secret hookups, leaving trails of decay and broken promises. It's a dark comedy of errors where even death can't cure bad relationship habits, and the real horror isn't the flesh-eating, but watching zombies ghost each other (literally). The perfect soundtrack would probably be something sinister yet beautiful—you know, "arts & witchcrafts" vibes.
- The Night of the Unfaithful Zombies
"The Night of the Unfaithful Zombies (Ubre Blanca Zombies in Glasgow Remix)" takes the original undead relationship drama and transplants it to the foggy streets of Glasgow. Ubre Blanca's remix adds a gritty Scottish atmosphere where cheating zombies stumble through cobblestone alleys and abandoned pubs, their moans echoing off ancient buildings. The Glasgow setting gives the unfaithful undead a proper gothic backdrop—think zombie affairs happening in shadowy closes while bagpipes play hauntingly in the distance. It's the same dark romance gone wrong, but now with that distinctly Scottish flavor of melancholy and mist.
- Back Alley Safari
"Back Alley Safari" dives deeper into the seedy underbelly of zombie infidelity, where the undead conduct their illicit affairs in grimy back alleys behind dumpsters and fire escapes. It's a safari through the urban jungle of betrayal, where rotting Romeos and decomposing Juliets meet for clandestine encounters among the garbage and graffiti. The track captures that sleazy, forbidden atmosphere where love (or whatever zombies call it) gets messy in the shadows. Think of it as the soundtrack to zombie romance gone wrong in the most unglamorous places possible—because apparently even the undead need somewhere private to break their vows.
- Stella's Theme
"Stella's Theme" tells the story of an impossible miracle—out of zombie love, somehow a zombie kid is born. It's the tender moment in this undead saga where all the back alley affairs and unfaithful wanderings lead to something unexpectedly beautiful. Stella represents hope in a world of decay, proving that even zombies can create life (or whatever passes for life in their rotting world). The theme captures that bittersweet realization that miracles are possible, even in the darkest corners of the zombie apocalypse. It's the emotional heart of the EP—where all the sinister elements give way to something genuinely touching and strange.
- Mentionless Nest
"Mentionless Nest" follows the story of this strange new miracle family—Stella and her zombie parents trying to build a home together in their own twisted way. It's about finding sanctuary in a world that doesn't understand them, creating a quiet space where their unconventional family can exist without judgment or explanation. The "mentionless" aspect captures how they live in the shadows, unspoken and unnoticed, just trying to make their weird little nest work. It's the domestic side of zombie life, where even the undead need somewhere to call home and raise their impossible miracle child away from prying eyes.
About the release
Hey, This EP is about Zombies who were once unfaithful in the back alley, had a child named Stella who was raised in the mentionless nest. If you pay close attention to the tracklist, it will be clear as day why the tracks were listed in that order. I make electronic music that mixes dark and pretty stuff together - that's my whole "arts & witchcrafts" thing. This is my first EP as Midwestern Slav because Caligari made me do it. I was putting out music as Jevrem and Ducer for a while, but this is what I really want to do (apparently). Big thanks to Ubre Blanca for the remix - they made my theme sound 1000 times more professional, I hope you'll dance your shoes off to this one. Thanks, Midwestern Slav
